Fake Sugar was written by Liah Alonso and Daniel Aloliver in Florianopolis, Brazil. All the musicians on the track, except Liah are Brazilian. The song came about when Liah met Daniel while shooting the pilot for her reality TV show in Brazil. The show is about being a female musician traveling around the world and what is is like to collaborate from country to country. In each country she will write a song and Brazil was the first country.. This is the first in a series of shows and collaborations and is a strong start.
